Another Thought

A thought I forgot to mention, which I thought should influence the church in the rocky decades to come: we should approach truth and truth claims with an epistemological humility. This is the greatest contribution to the church from post-modern thought. Perhaps the problem is this isn't something post-modern, it's something the church lost in the enlightenment. Too much certainty can lead to arrogance. Now, it's also true that not enough certainty can lead to laziness.
