I just read a really great article challenging our modernist-evangelical views about the authority of Scripture.
How Can The Bible Be Authoritative? by N.T. Wright
It really challenged/increased my thinking about the authority/inspiration of Scripture. It presents what I would consider a Missional Hermeneutic that pushes the church into dialogue with the world.

I read that article. It was good. Great observation about the "authority of Scripture" being short-hand for the "authority of God." I need to think about it more. I think he spells out a common problem of the modern church--systematic theology. This discipline often encourages us to prooftext our own little pet doctrine. Although I think that there's a place for systematic theology, we need to look at developing narrative theology or something along those lines.
